At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
The role is responsible for providing operational support to the Head of Sales and external third-party Automobile Distributor business partners.
The key responsibility will be supporting with ensuring the smooth running of sales operations to Automobile Distributor markets and the reporting of performance against targets.
The role will focus on the continuous improvement of Honda Motor Europe (HME) sales operations with Automobile Distributors and will require working closely with several internal departments to obtain and communicate necessary information and data in a timely manner to external business partners. The role will also provide administrative support for Sales and General Administration budget preparation for total Automobile Division. It will support the logistical organisation of “on site” Automobile Sales meetings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales Distributors Performance Reporting.
- Collection and consolidation of Weekly/Monthly Sales and Wholesale results. and forecasts versus plan for Distributors.
- Support monthly Sales and Supply Planning process through variance. reporting and validation of Distributors Sales and Supply Planning submission (in conjunction with HME Sales and Operations Planning).
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial Sales and Supply Planning.
- Support with the preparation and maintenance of regular reporting of the. Automobile Distributors CAFÉ and stock situation, including variance analysis.
- Automobile Division Administrative support.
- Assist in the organisation of pan European Sales meetings for Distributors and/or Branches.
- Assist in the preparation of presentation material for meetings with Distributors.
Other
- Liaising with Logistics, Business Administration and Business Reporting teams.
- Liaising with third party Distributor business partners.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required
- Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a degree, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Good command in English or native English.
- Logical thinking and well organised.
- High degree of accuracy.
- Calm under pressure with the capacity to manage several tasks at once and prioritise effectively.

- An enthusiastic person who takes initiative and is prepared to challenge the norm.
- Good communication skills and ability to understand and work with cultural differences.
- Complete to perfection attitude.
