Honda Motor Europe is offering undergraduates the opportunity to join a fast-paced Marketing Team in its Motorcycle Division.

No day is the same and we offer the right individual an exciting and dynamic placement for 12 months that will give real insight into how an in-house Marketing team operates, the challenges it faces and the role it holds in the overall business.


As a self-starter, you will be responsible for supporting the Motorcycle Marketing Department for the European region. You will support the team as it generates exciting campaigns and marketing assets for both off and online, working with agencies and other suppliers. You will assist in monitoring the department and project budgets and helping process purchase orders and invoices. You will also work closely with the marketing teams across our region to help support them with information and requests.


The role includes liaising with the agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders, helping organise and coordinate projects as well as attending and assisting on selected events. This role also includes general office tasks such as organisation of team events, diaries, general administration and proof-reading.


Main Responsibilities:

Digital Content

  • Checking and keeping track on the status of the website copy: working closely with the copywriter and the digital agency for all operational aspects of copy implementation
  • Attending all weekly and bi-weekly digital content calls with suppliers
  • Supporting the digital manager on all operational aspects for new page creation: copy, page layout, page checks, conducting pre-checks prior to rollout, search engine optimisation and keyword implementation
  • Responsible for ensuring correct accessories presence on the digital platform



  • Rolling out new pages: creating local copies after English master, sending for translation, chasing suppliers and European markets to enable go-live
  • Image production and resizing for the digital platform
  • Using internal systems to update and check information when needed
  • Preparing and checking key marketing campaigns assets before they go live
  • Managing communications with all European markets while ensuring effective exchange of information
  • Supporting with the organisation of the European Marketing Committee


Social Media

  • Planning and creating social content
  • Main point of contact for asset management
  • Responsible for publishing all videos for the Honda Motorcycles YouTube channel


Analytics/Competitor Research

  • Creating analytics reports to support the team 
  • Using Google Analytics to put together weekly report to track website traffic
  • Ongoing competitor research


Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable:

  • Must be an undergraduate, studying a Marketing/Business/Administration based course, looking for a placement in their third year of study
  • Previous Marketing experience favourable but not necessary
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, and other photography and video editing tools favourable but not necessary
  • Experience or genuine interest in the motorcycle sector favourable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong numeracy and comfortable working with financial information and systems
  • Can-do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
  • Competent IT skills, including photography and video editing
  • Knowledge of Google analytics favourable
  • Project coordination skills
  • Ability to prioritise and plan effectively
  • Creative thinking
  • Deadline oriented and ability to work under pressure
