Role

We currently have 3 HR Undergraduate roles available: 2 positions in HR Operations and 1 position in Compensation & Benefits.

 

Working closely with the HR Operations team, the role will provide full generalist Human Resources administration support to all areas of the business. You will take an active role in delivering and developing an exceptional HR service.

 

For the Compensation and Benefits role, the role holder will be part of the Planning and Development team in which they will be responsible for various HR related projects. These projects will be co-ordinated across the European region.

 

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities for HR Operations Undergraduate:

  • Provide general administrative support such as preparing forms, reports, letters and updating and maintaining our HR database.
  • Coordinate and administer the onboarding process for all new starters. This includes issuing contracts, liaising with new starters and registering candidates for Right to Work checks.
  • Preparing for monthly payroll by registering any changes on our systems and ensuring that the correct documentation is given for payroll to be processed accurately.
  • Organising and coordinating the Undergraduate Recruitment process for our European Head Office. This involves advertising roles, delivering recruitment training to line managers, supporting with interviews and planning assessment centres. 
  • Engaging with Associates and contributing to ongoing HR initiatives such as the administration of our Long Service Awards.

 

Main Responsibilities for Compensation & Benefit Undergraduate:

  • Co-ordinate various Compensation and Benefit activities, such as annual salary benchmark survey, gender pay gap report and bonus calculations.
  • Support job evaluation process and administration
  • Keep the job description library up-to-date.
  • Use SAP SuccessFactors HR database to operate daily HR activity
  • Manage team administration such as raising POs, recharging costs, team meeting invites, room bookings, events planning and co-ordination.
  • Keep a record of departmental spending and raise & solve any issues around payment when necessary.
  • Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, processing confidential reports and documents

 

Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable 

  • An undergraduate looking for a placement in their third year of study. For the HR Operations role, an undergraduate undertaking a business-related degree would be preferred.
  • A clear and effective communicator on both the telephone and face-to-face, aligned to Honda values, who respects and works well with others interacting in a sensitive and effective way.
  • Desirable to have undertaken previous administration work and/or work experience in either a customer facing role or office environment.
  • Strong team player with an enthusiastic, Can-Do approach.
  • High attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines whilst maintaining quality.
  • Ability to remain flexible and able to adapt to changing demands in the role.
  • The ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in all aspects of work and be a trusted and professional ambassador for the HR team. 
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
