This role provides a challenging opportunity to develop skills in the management and delivery of a high impact PR Communications plan for the Honda automobile division. With a busy launch schedule over the coming years, this role will be instrumental in generating positive public sentiment towards the Honda range through the European media to ultimately support the sales and profitability growth of the European automobile business.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the European Content Manager in the development and translation of written assets (press releases, press packs, presentations) to European media
  • Manage the delivery of written assets to media contacts through the media website
  • Manage the publishing of all images and film to media website
  • Lead ‘central publishing’ function, minimising the need for Honda branches to publish translated material to their local media websites.
  • Act as point of contact for web development agency for any developments to website
  • Working with Department Manager to ensure adherence to set departmental budgets
  • Provide support to wider team on key PR events, including international motor shows, press drives and other activities
  • Deliver regular internal communications updates to all Associates across the European region
  • Support with the creation and delivery of Challenge Magazine – the quarterly internal communications magazine
  • Manage the Honda Motor Europe (HME) CC Twitter feed
  • Briefing in agencies on new projects and work requirements
  • Point of contact for PR Managers across Europe to answer any queries or requests related to the content we deliver


Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable:

  • Undergraduate looking for a placement in their third year of study
  • Project management and logistics skills, an eye for detail
  • Comfortable with website management – experience of running a blog would be preferable
  • Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit – keen to be involved in the development of new activities
  • A good understanding of the automotive sector
  • A passion for giving the best service to internal customers (i.e. branch media relations managers)
  • Relationship management skills, able to work with PR teams at a number of different levels of expertise
  • Knowledge of the changing use of digital and social media – bring ideas from new areas to improve activities
  • Comfortable with international travel (across European region)


We will be conducting interviews via Microsoft Teams until January 2021 and our virtual assessment centre will take place in February 2021.
