At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.





Honda Motor Europe (HME) is responsible for the development and delivery of “New Business” strategy across 16 markets in Europe with the overall aim of creating new customer experiences around Digital platform and Connectivity applications.


Honda Motor Europe UK (HME-UK) supports all HME Divisions by being a pilot branch for the implementation of new initiatives around digitization, business to customer activities, new business around data monetization.


The role is responsible for providing operational support to the Digital Change Department manager and wider support to the Digital Change Team when required. The key responsibility of the department will be to ensure the smooth running of all activities towards Digitization of all HME-UK Divisions.  


Digital Change will play a pivotal role in piloting for HME any new initiatives for:

  • Business to Customer Activities
  • New Application of Connectivity
  • New Business Models driven from Data 


As a Digital Change Catalyst, you will support the department to ignite innovation, bring the outside in, identify trends, and apply insights to our operational concepts. The role will help inspire and inform the future digital strategy for HME-UK, collaborating with teams across all divisions ensuring an understanding of current challenges whilst applying future thinking.


A key part of the role will be to build and document options where innovation and technology are seamlessly blended to aid in delivering our Growth through Change strategy. Utilising creative and new generation thinking to co-create briefs which guide and develop our digital transformation capabilities.


Main Responsibilities

HME-UK Road map to Digitization

  • Assist the Digital Change Department manager in delivering the HME-UK Strategy and Innovation Roadmap
  • Support collaborations with teams and stakeholder engagement across Automobile, Motorcycle, Power Products, Customer Network & Development and Communications
  • Horizon scanning, discovering trends and researching competitors’ digital activities to bring the outside in for HME-UK
  • Support building documents and briefs to shape concepts for digital change activities such as subscription packages / business to customer initiatives


New Data Reporting

  • Providing recommendations for new business models based on data
  • Collection and consolidation of Weekly/Monthly data to enable HME-UK divisions to take appropriate actions
  • Support improvement to the presentation of data alongside Digital Change Specialist  
  • Support the development of any ideas to further improve data reliability, accuracy of reporting


Digital Change Administrative support

  • Managing the HME-UK Digital Change inbox and answering email enquiries from stakeholders and third parties
  • Assist in the organisation of Digital Change Department meetings for HME-UK and HME
  • Provide support in preparing reports, presentation materials and taking minutes


Qualifications, skills and experience: Required/Desirable


  • Must be an undergraduate looking for a placement in their third year of study
  • Working towards a degree in Business Management / Marketing / Finance or similar
  • PC Skills (Office package)
