At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
The role is responsible for providing operational support to the European Product Leads.
The key responsibility will be to contribute and support the Product Management team in managing and developing the Honda Car product line up and strategy in Europe.
The role will focus on supporting the product management team in day-to-day activities including preparing and analysing the European car market and customer data to support product lifecycle development. It will require working closely with several internal departments to obtain and communicate necessary information and data in a timely manner, including the Head Office in Japan and Honda’s Research & Development teams, Marketing, Sales Planning, Supply Planning and Corporate Communications.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day activity of the Product Management team including:
Market information:

Prepare necessary market information on the European Car market, analysing current and future trends and reporting to the Product Management team.

Study Key Competitor’s products and activities, including pricing, to support key model.
Product development:
- Supporting the production of a market and competitor activity report for internal distribution on a bi-monthly basis.
Customer information:
- Update and analyse European customer information for Honda and key competitors reporting to Product Management team.
Research Support:
- Support ongoing database administration for market and customer databases.
- Involvement in ad-hoc research projects for new model.
Others:
- Liaising with internal teams within Honda, including Sales, PR & Marketing within Europe and Product management in Head Office in Japan.
- Providing product information and support for Honda’s Branches across Europe.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required:
- Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a related degree, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- An enthusiastic person who seizes the initiative and is prepared to challenge the norm.
- Logical thinking and well organised with a high degree of accuracy.
- Well organised, calm under pressure with the capacity to manage several tasks at once and prioritise effectively.
Desirable
- English and other language preferred.
