This role will fundamentally drive both the Honda brand and Honda sales volumes through capturing prospects in the digital and online customer journey.


With key accountability for the strategic planning, development and delivery of websites and content for the Automotive and Aftersales parts of the UK business, this critical role will blend together marketing, project management and digital media knowledge whilst maintaining a commercial objective of maximising profitable volume at all times.

Main Accountabilities:

In conjunction with the wider digital team, you are accountable for the online customer journey for Honda Cars and Aftersales in the UK. You will hold primary accountability for planning and producing hard working and complimentary content for, Engine Room and Social Media.


You must ensure that our websites are always configured to focus on customer, maximise sales, and all content is clear, effective and up to date at all times.


The ‘key contact’ between marketing and a vast array of internal stakeholders on all website matters. Your relationship skills must be outstanding, and our stakeholders must always feel supported, positively challenged and informed.


Working with our centralised European development team you will outline the necessary requirements from a UK perspective, working to a defined roadmap to ensure best practice and approach for UK customers. You will utilise excellent relationship skills to influence and outline requirements, ensure timely and on-budget delivery, and then to implement and launch.


Work alongside the relevant communications managers in delivering digital campaigns, which drive traffic from the wider web to The customer journey must be logical and engaging and ultimately result in maximised prospect conversion.

Project managing the creation of content for all areas of the purchase/consideration funnel. Working closely with the creative teams and ensuring best delivery at all times. This includes a central role in the production of video and photography content that can be used across multiple websites


Managing our media, creative and digital agencies to bring all campaign elements together. Building these relationships and providing clear briefs, ways of working and campaign success vision is vital.


Assist in budget ownership for Automotive and Aftersales, managing spend in-line with business expectations and ensuring cost-effective purchase decisions at all times.


Accountable for understanding digital metrics and acting as a consultant to the Automotive & Aftersales business on how trends may indicate sales.


Key Requirements:


  • Experience in the management of CMS platforms – being able to update and edit on a daily basis. A knowledge of CQ5 would be advantageous.
  • Proven track record in project management, from conception to delivery
  • A strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy & best practice
  • Exceptionally driven and motivated with a strong desire to exceed objectives.
  • Experience in working with Google Analytics & SE). Able to analyse website data, make recommendations and then implement.
  • Excellent people skills with experience of being the main touch point for multiple high-level stakeholders and external relationships (including multiple agency partners).
  • An individual who exudes natural enthusiasm for brand and the value it can bring to the consumer.
  • Action orientated with a proven record of accomplishment of directly driving action through external partner agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Financially and commercially astute with previous experience of budget management.
  • Extremely well organised, able to strategically plan and manage multiple diverse tasks at once in a very busy role.
  • Ensuring local conformance to digital standards and best practice
  • Pro-Active recommendations for the improvement and enhancement for all automotive digital marketing.
  • Assisting with planning for all UK content creation and implementation across all digital touchpoints of Honda online. This will include websites, 3rd party websites, social media and any other media touchpoints.
  • Team Focused mentality – Digital is one part of the communications team. Working collectively with other areas of the marketing/comms team is critical.
