Role:  

Reporting to the Dealer Development Programmes Department Manager, this role is central to the effective development of Honda (UK) dealer networks.  The successful applicant will manage the UK Dealer Training offering with the objective of producing high quality, competitive and customer-focussed dealer networks.

 

The role holder will enjoy the challenges of working with HUK Senior Management, Honda Motor Europe and the Honda Institute, and must be capable of taking on multiple diverse projects.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Training – Including UK specific provision, MFS Requirements, BER, Leadership Programme, Platinum Programme and Apprenticeships.

  • Plan and implement the strategy for UK Dealer Training in order to provide relevant training and career opportunities for Dealer Staff
  • Support the UK field teams (Sales, Aftersales and UKOS) with reporting of compliance to MFS and UKOS required training
  • Focus on delivering industry leading dealer training programmes
  • Create “value for money” for the training levy for the Car Network
  • Increase course utilisation
  • Develop and implement the communication strategy for each product area
  • Promote a “career culture” to attract, develop and maintain the “best in industry” Dealer staff
  • Maintain the Honda Institute Microsite to ensure accuracy of information according to all MFS and UKOS standards
  • Manage the relationship with the Honda Institute and HME in order to maintain full visibility of the training budget, operation and all activities required to achieve the UK strategy
  • Liaise with Dealer Networks via National Dealer Councils and Dealer visits in order to ensure the training operation meets the demands of the relative industry
  • Carry out monthly PDCA with the Honda Institute and report to UK Senior Management
     

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Knowledge of Car, Motorcycle and PE networks an advantage
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Proven Project Experience in a commercial environment
  • Positive attitude with a “can do” approach under pressure
  • Proven ability to make sound commercial decisions
  • Driven team player with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ideally a university graduate, or equivalent educational level
