Role:

Reporting to the Seihan (Production & Sales Planning) and Reporting Manager, this role provides the valuable link between our worldwide Honda factories, sub suppliers with the branches and distributors.

 

The successful applicant will ensure that our customers’ orders are reflected on the production plan, and will play an integral part in ensuring that stock is maintained at the most efficient level to meet the needs of our customers. Market and commercial awareness and decision making are vital as this role commits HME to purchasing products on behalf of Europe.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly tanki (production) orders and consolidate tanki observing production and order management constraints before sending to the worldwide Honda factories and sub contracted factories, recommend pre-build and carry over content of the sales order at MTO (product) level.
  • Process production change requests in time for the monthly and weekly change trigger points; monitor orders and change requests against factory constraints, and negotiate changes with the branches, distributors and factory.
  • Ensure that Branches and distributors are kept aware of production plans (Branch order receival / registration / confirmation) and delivery dates and where necessary implement CBU (Complete Built Units) allocation control.
  • Ensure that the production plan and tanki (sales order) match Back Order analysis and countermeasure any discrepancies.
  • Monitor Stock Ageing Level for Product category in responsibility, Propose and Follow actions for stock ageing reduction. Liaise with product management.
  • Support Preparation for Seihan Meeting, including Sales Reporting.
  • Correct system errors quickly to minimise impact on production, sales and logistics, and assist in identification of root cause and countermeasures.
  • Ensure that all databases are kept up-to-date and consistent; control accurate allocation creation, deletion and prioritisation.
  • Review of existing processes under the banner of continuous improvement to ensure business process efficiencies.

  

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

A confident negotiator, able to negotiate with sales branches and the factories.

  • Good PC skills including Excel. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • A good level of numeracy and ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organise workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Self-starter, with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of Tanki, Niguri (sales planning & operations tool) process, EPP (European Production Planning) and PLS (Pan-E Logistics System) is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn about Honda Power Products.
