At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
Reporting to the Head of Motorcycle Sales & Business Management, the role of Sales Planning and Reporting Lead plays a key role in supporting commercial decision-making and driving business performance through insightful analysis, accurate forecasting, and efficient reporting processes. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment of market data to support management decisions at Honda Motor Europe (HME) and Branches.
Main Responsibilities:
Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Lead the consolidation of monthly sales and market performance reports from European branches, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Establish and maintain unified reporting standards, KPIs, and analytical frameworks across all HME and Branches.
- Support senior management with regular performance reviews and data-driven insights on market trends, share evolution, and sales efficiency.
- Provide analytical support for sales campaigns, incentive programs, and product launches.
- Contribute to pricing, mix, and volume strategy discussions through data insights and scenario modelling.
Market Forecasting & Planning
- Oversee the preparation of market forecasts and performance outlooks for budget process with branches.
- Conduct strategic analysis on market developments, competitor activity, and product performance to support planning and resources allocation.
- Provide expert input into the MTP process, consolidating Branches inputs into a coherent regional perspective.
Process Improvement and Tool Development
- Lead initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of sales reporting and forecasting tools used across the branches.
- Identify and implement best practices in data management, visualization, and process automation.
- Collaborate with Business Planning and Finance to align reporting tools with business requirements and governance standards.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact between HME and branches for all topics related to sales reporting, data quality, and forecast accuracy.
- Provide training and guidance to branches on reporting methodologies, data interpretation, and performance analysis.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required
- Experience in sales planning, business analysis, or commercial operations, preferably within the motorcycle/automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of European markets and sales operation’s structure (retail, wholesale, and registration flows).
- Proven experience in leading cross-country reporting or data governance initiatives.
- Advanced analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP/CRM systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams and cultures.
- Flexible thinking: Able to create new innovative ways and processes.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
