  • Achieve Honda Motor Europe UK (HME UK) agreed commercial objectives for Retail & Fleet Sales of On Road motorcycles within a defined area through effective leadership, motivation and management of the dealer network and the customer experience.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Management & motivate a group of Independently Owned Retail Business to achieve improvement and/or growth in the above.
  • Implementation and ongoing management of HME UK Commercial Programmes and processes.
  • Monitor bonus achievement at dealer level, through adherence to Dealer Business Terms, Minimum Standards and the Dealer Agreement.
  • Ensure Dealers fully support all Honda programmes and derive maximum benefit in terms of customer experience and sales performance.
  • Managing the forecasting system for both registrations and wholesale on a monthly basis to ensure adequate motorcycle unit supply to the area and produce accurate and timely weekly forecasts, reflecting actual situation and local market knowledge.
  • Formulate plans by dealer on local activity, business development, targeted market share improvements, staff training etc. in order to achieve HME UK objectives.
  • Influence dealers to focus on the customer and effective sales processes.(Sales funnel)
  • Generation of defined incremental volume through the achievement of agreed franchise appointments in the designated territory.
  • Support and development of new dealers, in conjunction with franchising.
  • Undertake scheduled business reviews together with Dealer Development, Business Management and Aftersales teams to ensure each dealership is meeting agreed actions, operational and financial.
  • Overall contribution to the Motorcycle Business as part of the Motorcycle Management Team.


Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Commercial experience is essential.
  • Field-based experience desirable but not essential.
  • Previous sales experience would be beneficial.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • An articulate problem solver who can prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiating skills with an ability to provide a measured response and demonstrate resilience.
  • A tenacious, target driven self-motivated dynamo, with the ability to make a difference and consistently add value in a competitive environment.
  • Must exhibit strong alignment with the values of Honda Philosophy and a high level of integrity.
  • An interest in motorcycles advantageous.
