Role:
Reporting to the Business Management Department Manager, this role is responsible for managing the quality and reporting of consolidated profit for Automobile, European Region, and to champion the continuous improvement of data management.
This role involves continued integration of CAMP processes Automobile operations (Continuous enhancement of Data Input, Reporting, and value-added management information). Ensure that the CAMP process continuously meets requirements to report to HM’s SPACE (System for Profit and Cost Enhancement).
This role is to support Honda Business areas on Automobile Profit matters and provide expert advice.
The Profit Management Expert will also be required to support and deputise for the Business Management Department Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Delivery of quality data
- Responsible for the running and analysis of the CAMP event each month/ Budget event to complete month end process and reporting to SPACE (System for Profit & Cost Enhancement).
- Working with the data providers, ensure robust procedures are in place and data for month end close and for budgets is following CAMP logic (Global HQ, Manufacturing, Trading, Honda Motor Europe, country offices).
- Define, recommend and in some cases deliver, training and process change proposals (factories, country offices and Honda Motor Europe) for progressive quality enhancement across the profit chain. This will require travel across the region, where necessary.
- Propose and implement KPI reporting to assist with efficient data quality checks
- Manage issue resolution throughout the month end process and budget process.
- Manage Allocation Key Logic for Japan/Europe/Factories allocations. Propose and maintain the process for review of the allocation Key.
2) Management of Consolidated Profit
- Responsible for ensuring consistent management reporting to assist AM operations
- Manage appropriate usage of Factory profit data for budget and actual management information to Sales entities
3) General Business Management role
- Provide key management support to AM Division for Budget Event and Actuals for Non-Sales Entities
Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable:
- Professional accountancy qualifications and suitable financial experience (min 3 years PQE)
- Working experience within a financial analyst role required.
- Previous experience in branch or factory required.
- Understanding of multiple entity/ multiple currency environment.
- Key competencies:
- High level of PC literacy – knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Hyperion (MARS) essential.
- Programming or Data Analyst background desirable
- Proven experience of continuous improvement
- Ability to influence key stakeholders – HM, HME, Factories and Branch
- Travel may be required from time to time to support the role (e.g. to factories, branch)
- Diplomacy and negotiation skills
- Clear and competent presentation skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the Honda organisation (HM, HME and Branch)
- Able to plan and prioritise own time and work independently
- Resilience in order to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
