At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.


Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office. 





Reporting to the Honda Motor Europe UK (HME-UK) Digital Change Department Manager, this role provides active support to achieve the HME-UK sales & profit objectives. This role is to deliver “Growth through Change” by Maximizing Opportunities on existing business models but also by Developing Additional Value from new sources of revenues across all divisions.


The role holder provides analysis and options to improve volume & profitability:

  • Help deliver all analysis around Key KPIs for total HME-UK.
  • Communication and monitoring of these targets to each HME-UK Division.
  • Estimation of the P&L of detailed activities for each HME-UK Division.
  • Reporting to HME-UK Business Administration (BA) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on a regular basis.


Main Responsibilities:

Key KPIs

  • Preparation and management of Key KPI targets.
  • Provide analysis, progress reporting and optimisation options to each Business Line to deliver Key KPIs.
  • Monitor and report progress on a monthly basis.
  • Propose any necessary enhancement to the initial targets agreed by HME-UK Senior Leadership Team.


Business Model

  • Support the Digital Change Department manager define the appropriate budget for Digital Change department to develop HME-UK Innovation.
  • Perform all necessary budget analysis on impact of any new business model developed around Online Sales or Business to Customer activities.


Maximise Opportunities            

  • Propose targets for Profit per unit on each Model/Product.
  • Analyse price elasticity for best-selling model on each business line.
  • Develop detailed analysis and recommendation on price up strategy to maximise revenue.
  • Provide support to HME-UK Sales Planning-Activities to challenge any new launch model performance.
  • Preparation and analysis of dealer profitability summary, identifying opportunities for Honda profit improvement and ways to minimise any negative influences on Honda profit.


Develop Additional Value

  • Support the implementation of sales and profitability of allocated Models in line with the Mid-Term goals.
  • Follow Competitor Pricing activities through JATO or any other source to anticipate any new trend that could impact our Revenue or Profit.


Profitability achievement

  • Assist Business management, including HME-UK BA (Finance) in the preparation of Budget-Events.
  • Ensure Business Line properly implements HME guidelines or provides rationale explanations for any major variances.



  • Demonstrate HME-UK capability and competence to deliver the highest progress towards Black Ink among all branches.


Personal Requirements:

The job holder must be able to work autonomously and have the presence and credibility to represent HME-UK in any BA (Finance) meeting organised by HME (Head Office).


Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable:

  • Results oriented, achiever, comfortable balancing priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • A balanced portfolio of skills and abilities ranging from Planning to hands-on tactical programme implementation incorporating:
    • Position within a Business Management Team
    • Finance: Pricing and Budget
    • Experience in other disciplines like Project Management, 
  • Established Stakeholder management skills that complement and instil Honda philosophy and Honda’s core management principles.
  • Commercially minded with attitude and ability to ensure a disciplined approach maintained to achieving business outcomes.
  • Ability to gain respect and cooperation from colleagues to achieve the HME-UK Direction.
  • Straight talking, open approach with a high level of personal integrity and standing.
  • Finance Degree qualified or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Hyperion is an advantage.
  • The drive to progress further in the organisation in HME-UK or any other branches would be an advantage.
