At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.


Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.



This role is within the Marketing Procurement team at Honda Motor Europe (HME), part of the new Indirect Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Department. You will be helping deliver operational objectives for the department and your stakeholders across the region.  

Demonstrating value beyond traditional savings, the Marketing Procurement Category is engaged in supporting its stakeholders on a digital transformation for HME. Therefore, being open to change and having an analytical mindset is key. The Marketing Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for managing strategic sourcing activities (RFI, RFQ, RFP) across key Marketing pillars aligned with key stakeholders. 

The role will include the planning and execution of procurement strategies and activities to deliver value benefits and innovation to HME. Equally, the role will involve maintaining the policy compliance and governance required from Honda, all whilst meeting the needs of several business areas. The Marketing projects are wide-ranging and varied.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for leading the RFx process for related projects across the organisation within the Marketing category or other categories as required.
  • Renewal of existing contracts, supplier performance management and contract management. 
  • Leading role in commercial service reviews, supplier performance management and contract management. 
  • Building and managing multiple stakeholder relationships and managing their requirements and expectations throughout the Procurement process.
  • Complete strategic tender processes, including presenting to management, with a recommended proposal, outlining supplier sourcing decisions and implementing plans. 
  • Generation of status reports into the project management team covering key performance measurements and business planning activity.
  • Analysing Supplier data and presenting management reports as required.


Qualifications, skills and experience: Required/Desirable

  • Experience in marketing procurement, i.e., Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Media, Public Relations & Events 
  • Proven track record of supplier management, including evidence of effective negotiation skills within high-value procurement. 
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills at all levels including senior management with the ability to present to an audience in a logical and persuasive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in order to achieve set objectives through logical approach and technique whilst delivering the usual business activities.
  • Good presentation skills and strong data analysis.
  • Confident and logical decision making.
  • Must be confident in chairing, driving and supporting regular internal customer engagement meetings around performance, improvements, escalations and general stakeholder relationships.



  • Ability to draft contract terms and make amendments with Legal guidance
  • Experience of a multinational governance structure
