At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

 

 

Role: 
This role will be responsible for the Pan-E dealer training Learning Management System (LMS) and translation. This will include the day to day running of the Honda Dream Factory (HDF) and the management of the LMS vendor contract. The role will be accountable for supporting the European region with a learning platform delivering an excellent service effectively and efficiently to the dealers through targeted training. 

 

You will be responsible for ensuring targeted eLearning modules are distributed in a timely manner to the correct user groups and align to the specific business requirements. This role will need to create, implement, and update processes and policies. You will be required to work closely with the external training partner and their administration team to ensure policies are followed and prioritised once they have been approved by Honda Training Managers.

 

The role holder will work with Honda’s preferred translation supplier to meet the requirements of the local markets; this will involve forecasting versus actual spend, ensuring contract KPIs are achieved, and working on continuous improvement of the processes. 

 

The main aim is to improve the standard of knowledge at dealership level as a result of our training. 

 

The role does require frequent travel within the UK and across Europe.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Contract management of the LMS vendor, ensuring Honda governance processes are met.
  • Cooperate with the training provider regarding LMS administration including the management of users, course creation, curriculum creation and related processes. 
  • Responsibility for the creation, implementation and management of LMS standards including course management, process adherence and user permissions.
  • Manage updates and significant changes in the policies and processes, working in collaboration with the outsource provider. 
  • Ensure the effective operation of the contracted LMS helpdesk function in alignment with agreed service levels. 
  • Gain Information Services support where necessary to execute system enhancements to LMS. 
  • Arrange and deliver necessary training for the LMS to the local branch and distributor administrators.
  • Maintain accurate databases through implementation of Minimum Franchise Standards (MFS) and support regular follow-up. 
  • Provide and ensure successful distribution (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) of activity completion reporting via Honda’s reporting tool.  
  • Create and implement the translation policy, processes, and guidelines ensuring regular circulation to key stakeholders. 
  • Responsibility for the Translation and LMS budget, reporting to Senior Management on forecast and actual versus planned. Managing any overspend and providing rationale during budget meetings. 
  • Work alongside the Translation Provider to find potential cost savings and innovations to positive impact the divisional budget. 
  • Creation of purchase orders & processing of invoices for the training provider.
  • Recharge Distributors for ad-hoc localisation expenditure.
  • Support budget holder with monthly CAPEX spend.
  • Create and deliver monthly reports and presentations to peers and senior managers as part of required business direction.
  • Take a lead role in a project to review the current system (LMS) from the tender process through the transition to successful implementation including writing new standards, policies and processes. 
  • Propose and contribute to continuous improvement plans in the department and ensure successful implementation.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required

  • Operational experience and understanding of Branch & Distributor operations.
  • Passionate about people development and providing customer excellence.
  • Ability to build good relationships and credibility within the business and with external providers to lead and support third party teams to achieve business goals. 
  • Comfortable working in an international business with understanding of cross-culture differences.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage differing priorities in order to meet deadlines.
  • Seek innovative ideas through knowledge and experience with the ability to make accurate decisions based on facts and research. 
  • Proactive and driven in identifying opportunities and challenging for continuous improvements to make a positive difference. 
  • Demonstrate a strong Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) balanced approach.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (including PowerPoint, MS Teams and Excel).


Desirable

  • Experience of Project Management.
  • Experience of Learning Management Systems.
  • Additional European language skills.
