This role is responsible for the production and distribution of key written, visual & technical assets to support the successful execution of PR activities for the automobile range. Central to this role is the development of and adherence to agreed product messaging and overall ‘Advanced and Sporty’ brand positioning. The role requires coordination of a roster of agencies and content creation specialists to deliver assets that deliver the brand’s key messages.  

In addition the role also leads on the management of the pan-European hondanews media website ensuring timely and efficient distribution of assets across Europe.


Main responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the briefing, management and delivery of all Honda written, visual & technical assets for the Automobile range
  • Ensure key concepts are suitably explained throughout all Honda media materials (press releases, press packs, speeches and presentations etc..)
  • Deliver impactful, compelling visual assets to support the success of pan-European PR  campaigns for new and existing models in Honda’s automobile range ensuring all assets are correct and understandable from a technical standpoint
  • Lead the delivery of assets to support key PR events, including international motor shows and European press events, providing support on event to ensure media presentations reflect technical concepts in an accurate way, while aligning with wider consumer messaging
  • Work with PR Operations Manager to ensure timely delivery of translated written assets to European branches
  • Lead the management of the pan-European hondanews media website, aiming for ‘best in class’ in terms of information provision, useability and ease of search
  • Manage the European PR Communications Administrator to deliver a strong central publishing function for releases that minimises administrative burden on branches
  • Manage the relationship with PR agency to ensure agreed media messaging is reflected throughout all written assets.
  • Support European PR Communications Section Manager in the creation and management of the Product Communications budget throughout the fiscal year, ensuring adherence to agreed spend levels.
  • Coordinate with other areas of the business (Automobile, Motorcycle, Customer, Motorsport, Honda Accessories Europe, R&D etc.) to understand their key objectives and how this can be translated in terms of messaging and assets where required.

Skills requirements:

  • Experience of working in a front-line PR team preferable
  • Strong agency management skills
  • Strong understanding of the creation of impactful content for use by a range of European media
  • Knowledge of the changing use of digital and social media – bring ideas from new areas to improve activities
  • Project planning, management and logistics skills, an eye for detail
  • Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Understanding of wider context that Honda automobile division sits in
  • Relationship management skills, able to work with PR teams and agencies at a number of different levels of expertise across Europe
  • Knowledge of key important European automotive media outlets
  • Understanding of social media channels and their impact on business objectives
  • Fluency in European languages other than English is a bonus
