At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
Responsible for supporting the successful delivery of digital projects and programmes by providing structured project management support, governance, and reporting. The PMO role works closely with project and programme managers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed standards. The role requires strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills, with a particular focus on governance reporting and budget management.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Support
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and programmes. Track progress, manage schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and issue logs. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Governance Presentation Preparation
- Draft and prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations and reporting packs for governance meetings with senior management, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with programme objectives.
Budget Management & Reporting
- Support the management of project and programme budgets, including tracking expenditure, forecasting, and preparing regular budget reports for senior stakeholders.
Reporting
- Generate regular reports on project and programme performance, including key metrics such as timelines, budgets, and resource utilisation.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with project managers, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide project updates.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess project risks. Develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organisational policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to project plans.
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Previous PMO or PM experience.
- Experience supporting digital projects or programmes, ideally within a PMO environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities and build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMI frameworks).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
