Role

This role is pivotal in supporting strong Pan-European Marketing Communication activities to ensure the achievement of the Motorcycle Division Business Plan. 

Within the Marketing team, you will support the development of strategies, materials and initiatives in line with the business objectives.

You will be responsible for the production of compelling content for both on-going brand and product launch activities at Pan European Level.

You will also be responsible to support for local marketing teams in the development of their own local strategies and plans.

It will require collaboration across all Marketing Department as well as other departments (Sales, PR, Motorsport, Dealer Development, Customer, etc) to ensure smooth implementation of strategy and delivery of tactical materials.

Specific responsibilities: 

  • Strategy direction: provide strategic input and support the top management on the creation of a compelling and highly effective communication strategy for the Motorcycle department.

 

  • Support product launches, updates and promotions for European countries.

Support launch of new products and offer updates to ensure seamless implementation

Collaborate with branches internal and external teams on relevant projects

Develop, support and implement central media campaigns in line with European

Marketing campaigns.

 

  • Creative briefs: Taking the strategic direction, manage the creation and release of clear creative briefs for agencies in order to set the tone and direction of the model and make sure that global brand direction is respected.

 

  • Communication materials: Ensure the high quality of artwork and message of the relevant materials for each campaign. This include Brochures, Press ads, POS, Mailings, etc.
  • Report on a quarterly basis the usage of HME produced materials at a Pan European level.
  • Coordinate and manage Honda Brand Centre database, making sure all materials are released in relevant timings.
  • Ensure compliance of all materials, from HME to Branch, of Brand Communication Guidelines.
  • Support for trans-creation of central communication campaigns & assets.
  • Adapting Europe copy in different languages (with supplier support) for non-digital assets.
  • Manage communications matrix.
  • Attend meetings and read updates to stay on top of all the latest news, promotions and launches which tie in to our marketing plan.
  • Manage supporting communications plan via E-newsletter for branches.

 

  • Asset Production
  • Prepare and follow up budget for each activity.
  • Coordinate with Creative agency all the relevant information for effective Photo shootings and Video shootings.
  • Evaluate asset production at editing level in order to ensure high level of production and advise management and agencies of any requirements for change.
  • Collect all necessary information from HRE departments for retouching assets.

 

  • Support Event
  • Be available to attend events (sometimes on weekends) and meet our customers.
  • Support organisation of the event, creation of run of show etc.
  • Look after our Honda Adventure Roads registration page.
  • Promote events on social media.

 

  • General Administration
  • Participate in team meetings to provide timeline updates and track activities against timelines.
  • Draft communications for marketing literature, e-mail campaigns, newsletters, corporate letters and corporate communications.     
  • Create engaging content for our brochure & catalogue. Maintain and update content including copy, images, brief copy writer.
  • Act as a point of contact for departments throughout the business for communication activities.
  • Collaborate with digital team for integrating assets across all customer touchpoints.
  • Support on template and presentation development.

Skills:

  • Significant professional experience in relevant area.
  • Marketing/Communications or Business Administration Degree and/or Postgraduate level education as a plus
  • Experience both in-house and / or Communication/Creative Agency level, with a rounded knowledge of BAU of a Marketing Communications department
  • Ability and motivation to work in multicultural and international environment.
  • Strong personal organisational, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline driven environment
  • Extremely detail oriented while juggling multiple projects and many stakeholders
  • Ability to travel on occasion to visit branches, manage photo/video shoots, meet with contacts in each market and drive marketing agendas
  • Great English editing & proofing skills.
  • Experience in creating effective communications.
  • Ability to be highly creative and imaginative.
  • Extremely organised with a strong commitment to delivering strict deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail driven by high standards and dedication to accuracy.   
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is mandatory.
  • A good knowledge of using Adobe Creative Suite specially “Photoshop” would be advantageous.
