Role:

 A wide-ranging role that has clear responsibility in two areas:

1) Support the Events and Governance Section Manager in the delivery of pan-European events for automobile and motorsport activities, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.

 2) Responsibility for motorsport operations at the race, ensuring branches can maximise benefit from Honda’s activities on 2 and 4 wheels.

 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Key support for Honda’s European static and dynamic media event activities for automobile and motorsport, acting as day to day representative and key link to events agencies (e.g. Test Drive, Lechner & Redwing).
  • Support Section Manager in the development of clear ‘PDCA’ activities on all automobile and motorsport events
  • Logistics and management of showcar, showbikes and press fleet assets – including budgeting, transportation and branch liaison
  • Budget Management of Honda activity in EWC (Endurance World Championship), Isle of Man TT & WTCR, including parts invoicing, race bike orders and liaison with HME Business Administration team.
  • Management of access to race passes and tickets across all championships (including F1 & WTCR). Pass invoicing and processing. Work as a team with championship press officers and Motorsport Communications Section manager to organise garage tours, rider/driver appearances & interview requests & special branch requests at the track
  • Support Section Manager in the development of robust procurement and invoicing processes for Honda’s presence at European motor shows.
  • Ensure adequate preparation for key European budget events and periodic audits

 

Skills requirements:  

  • Clear expertise in the area of process and budget management
  • A strong knowledge of financial workflow systems preferable (e.g. SAP)
  • Comfortable with a wide range of stakeholders at a number of different levels in the business
  • Strong ability to represent the brand to influential external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable ability as a project management culture, one that delivers repeated excellence
  • Comfortable with remote management of activities, particularly where activities are running simultaneously
  • Able to manage and influence across HME branch, with the ability to develop a strong network of contacts
  • A fastidious approach, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong understanding of annual budget events and activities required to fulfil budget commitments
  • Knowledge of a European language other than English ideal
