The Marketing Department at Honda Motor Europe – Motorcycle (HME-MC) Division is responsible for the development and delivery of central marketing content for both new models and the MC Brand in Europe as well as key lifecycle campaigns and customer events, such as Honda Adventure Roads.


We manage the Digital platforms, including the Website, Honda Mobile app and YouTube at a pan-European level, ensuring we create brand consistency and presence across all customer facing channels.


This role sits within the Digital team and is responsible for creating and maintaining the content for the Website, mobile app and configurator, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and smooth flow of information and data to our agency partners and local markets.


Outline of the role:

As we are now moving onto a new way of working in the digital team, we are looking for a Content Manager, to help create a seamless online experience, being responsible for deploying content across the different digital tools.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating all digital content across platform, configurator and mobile app alongside our partner agencies.
  • Project management of content implementation with a considered approach across all platforms and projects.
  • Working with the Digital rollout Coordinator for deploying content in line with product launches.
  • Key point of contact for branches in relation to digital content across platform, configurator and mobile app.
  • Ensuring and monitoring best practice across all digital content.
  • Main point of contact with Design team in Japan to obtain technical data for creating Configurator and App assets, as well as acting as HME lead for all digital assets.
  • Supports with content strategy and platform enhancement developments.
  • Maximise KPI’s through continuous improvement process (PDCA) and competitor research, collating monthly reports on trends and activities, and working with suppliers on Quarterly Deep Dive Reports.
  • Enhancing the pan-European SEO strategy to ensure best practice visibility in Google.
  • Working in conjunction with the production team to coordinate requirements and capturing relevant assets for the different platforms.
  • Budget administration.
  • Support the online Marketing team in day-to-day activities, including pricing updates and configurator management.


Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable:

  • A digital specialist with broad marketing experience, experience working with a content management system as an editor or manager, creative development experience in digital channels;
  • Project management skills, either from a client or agency background
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-starter, someone who is able to understand business requirements and take action accordingly in a timely manner, with little supervision.
  • The ability to interrogate ideas/concepts and work with the nominated agency to develop materials for markets to deploy, challenging conventional ways of working where necessary to ensure best practice and time/ cost efficiencies.
  • Ability both to work independently and ensure alignment to objectives.
  • Good working knowledge of the following:

            -Content strategy

            -Product launch campaigns

            -Web analytics

            -SEO best practice

            -Paid digital media

            -Online targeting, re-marketing and personalisation


            -Social media platforms

  • Willingness to travel across UK and other European regions when required.
