At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

 

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

 

 

Key responsibilities and tasks:
Responsible for ensuring business requirements for Digital solutions are clearly defined and validated. This involves working in an agile approach with business users, design agencies, development partners and other stakeholders to ensure processes & functionality for digital solutions including mobile apps are clearly defined and agreed.  You will also be responsible for supporting the business in defining and implementing change management strategies (e.g. engagement plans, etc) by working with key European stakeholders. 


Main Responsibilities:

  • This role deals with the more detailed aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modelling, simulating and analysing current and future states. 
  • Engage business users and stakeholders in understanding business issues and priorities.
  • Define & document business process flows in a format that can be easily communicated (e.g. ppt) and validated by key stakeholders
  • Gather & document business requirements or functional specifications using user stories (user journeys) and other analysis & documentation techniques (UX).
  • Work together with a project manager and/or solution architect to review and validate analysis documentation & technical solution approach in line with business requirements
  • Work together with design agencies & development teams to ensure creative & technical designs (UX / wireframes) support business requirements.
  • Develop and organise User Acceptance Tests (UAT) with business users.
  • Support business change by defining procedures and implementing change management strategies including engagement plans, organising/delivering user training, etc.
  • Coordinate change management activities and communicate/report progress to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor & report project issues and risks where necessary to ensure effective countermeasures are implemented.
  • Other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experiences:

This is a key role in Honda’s transition so demonstrated success in a similar role is essential. That will include:

  • Very good experience of implementing digital mobile & web solutions based on cloud based solutions, e.g. digital marketing (content management), CRM or mobile platforms.
  • Strong experience of delivering digital projects based on innovative and creative multi-channel user experience (UX) – mobile app & online portals.
  • Very good experience of change management & stakeholder engagement while implementing European or Global projects - understanding cultural differences & business priorities.
  • Strong experience in business analysis & process change, ideally within a sales and marketing environment for Automotive or Retail Sectors or with a Consultancy practice.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in analysing and documenting business processes and data flows together with capturing user requirements as user stories or use journeys.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a concise and non-technical manner to business users.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both IT and business helping establish mutual understanding.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills with ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders including 3rd party agencies.
  • Good understanding of analysis & project management methodologies preferably with practical experience of structured and/or agile methods.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner (with attention to detail and sound judgement).

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with IS colleagues at all levels (flexible approach & collaborative).
  • An excitement about technology opportunities and an understanding on how the business may utilise them best.
