Role/Responsibilities:

 

The role assists the European Financial Accountant Section Manager to support the financial accounting activity of HME-C (collectively HME (‘Head Office’) and HUK (‘Branch’)).

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide support for external audits, provide support for internal audits and SOX
  • Day to day liaison with the SSC R2R; provide support and guidance
  • Prepare and submit selected National Statistics returns
  • Weekly banking
  • Assist with the monthly HFM and BOFC actuals reporting to Honda Motor
  • Monthly review of selected balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items
  • Assist with the completion of month end reporting file
  • Assist with the fixed assets process – acquisitions and disposals
  • Support the SSC with the fixed asset annual physical inventory verification and reconciliation.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual PAYE settlement agreement (PSA) return and Taxed Award scheme (TAS)
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of IFRS workbooks - Annual
  • Daily support of Accounts Payable (issues resolution, support the SSC P2P)
  • Support of Accounts Receivable

 

Skills and experience desired: 

  • Good working knowledge of SAP FICO and intermediate Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in general accounting and reporting, SOX compliance
  • Experience in working for a multinational within a Pan European Corporate Environment and matrix organisation
  • Experience with Hyperion, an advantage
