Role:

Reporting to the Sales Support Section Manager and a key team player within the Supply & Sales Support Department, this role is key in supporting the success of Honda Motor Europe UK (HME UK) Car Sales.    

 

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and appreciation of a fast paced sales environment.  The role is responsible for providing an efficient and effective Sales Support service to Car Sales Management and the field based team with a focus on preparation and presentation of sales data.

 

The successful candidate will have the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and work well under pressure.  A natural focus and desire to deliver continuous improvement is key to the role.

 

A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, strong analytical skills and being able to make sound business recommendations with high energy is required to be successful in this role.

 

This role interacts regularly with our Regional and Corporate sales teams and Business & Commercial Planning.   On a day-to-day basis, the role works closely with the Supply & Logistics team and works in close partnership with the other Sales Support Coordinator within the department.

 

This role will provide great exposure for anyone with ambitions of developing a career within the car operation of HME UK and provides a great opportunity to further develop and enhance our internal reporting tools and capabilities.

 

Key Accountabilities:  

  • Responsible for collating and presenting weekly / monthly/quarterly new car sales forecast data
  • Monthly new car sales registration reconciliation analysis
  • Responsible for the new car allocation process - recording, reporting and analysis
  • New car sales daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements – collation, preparation and submission
  • Daily Current Order Index pace tracking and reporting
  • 10 and 20 day reporting to HME (Honda Motor Europe) each month
  • Working closely with third party Urban science
  • Being the key go to person for Si2 queries and training sessions
  • Working closely with the Department Manager to deliver target projects
  • Tactical reporting to HME and Senior Management on a monthly basis
  • Reporting to BEN (The Automotive Industry Charity) the Honda UK performance on a quarterly basis
  • Working closely with the car field team
  • i-Watch new car sales reporting maintenance
  • Car sales reporting system maintenance and administration (in partnership with ISD Service Owner)
  • Administration of new model pre order system and process
  • Regional support budget (RSB) administration (recording, tracking & query management)
  • Administration of logistics dealer charges process
  • Tactical Retail Fleet Order ownership –recording Fleet orders and reporting monthly to the team
  • Month end financial retail cost centre accruals preparation. Administration and submission
  • Business Recovery requirement facilitation and coordination for Car Sales Operations
  • Global Confidentiality Policy requirement monitor and coordination for department
  • Ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Ad hoc project work

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • Great communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confident Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Visual Basic and Access skills are desirable
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills and a team player who can also work on their own initiative
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to prioritise effectively
